“breathing room” – A Night to Worship – April 10
April 10 – 7:00pm, at Lincoln Park
Linger in song and allow God to speak to your heart.
Celebrate God’s faithfulness.
Fellowship with like-hearted friends.
This is not a just a “Night of Worship” but rather it’s a “Night TO Worship.” It may sound like a typical “come and watch and be wowed” event, but this is much more like a potluck meal…it’s ok if you come and eat, but it will be much richer if you bring yourself to share.
A couple of worship leaders will take the lead, but it’s not scripted and programmed (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). It’s just that our heart for this night is different. We want to share ourselves with you and you to share yourselves with us…all while we revel in the revelation of Christ among us and adore the One who is worthy.
Why It’s Called “breathing room”:
“You’ve always given me breathing room, a place to get away from it all, A lifetime pass to your safe-house, an open invitation as your guest. You’ve always taken me seriously, God, made me welcome among those who know and love you.” (Psalm 61:3-5)
“breathing room” speaks of music having space in it – good music has breathing room. The presence of God is a place where you can catch your breath in the midst of a frenzied life. And having breathing room just feels good – like a shirt that fits well or a work week that’s free of deadlines – it’s something you really want to have.
