UPDATE 12/16/24: The Missions Committee thanks everyone who participated in the Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family Angel Tree project. Today, a car full of gifts—winter coats, clothing, personal care products, household items, toys, and gift cards—was delivered to the Salvation Army. Because of your generosity, this family will have a memorable Christmas.
Missions Update – September 2022
Our Missions Continue to Help Others
From Carol Bashore, Missions Chair
The Missions Committee would like to thank those who contributed cereal boxes for Bible School and Helping Harvest. We also provided Helping Harvest with a check for $1,100 which will allow them to purchase $22,000 worth of food.
Our next missions project for September and October will be to help Opportunity House provide their arriving clients with Welcome Kits. These include necessary clothing and personal items. A list of what is needed will soon be available at church and in an upcoming email. Monetary donations will also be accepted for those who’d rather contribute money than shop for items. Once again there will be a box in the Wagner Room to deposit any items. If you’d like more details, please contact Jim Eckert. As always, we appreciate your generous contributions.
A list of basic daily cosmetics and clothing items is available below and those items can be placed in the box in the Wagner Room. Monetary contributions for this project also can be mailed to the church or done electronically through the church web page- www.lpcumc.org/online-giving/
