Lincoln Park’s Angel Tree Never Disappoints

The members of the Missions Committee would like to thank everyone in our congregation who participated in the Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family Angel Tree project this year. A car full of gifts were delivered today to the Salvation Army – winter coats, clothing, personal care products, household items, cleaning supplies, toys, arts and crafts sets and gift cards for Giant and Wal-Mart. Thanks to you, this family will have a wonderful Christmas, one they will always remember. May God bless you during this holiday season and always.

Our last Mission drive for the year will be providing Christmas gifts to our Angel Tree Family.  As soon as we receive our assigned family and a list of their needs, we’ll send out a list of requested items. As usual a tree in the Wagner room will be decorated with hanging gift cards for us to take and purchase.

Please add the gift card name and assigned number to whatever packages you purchase. This is necessary should a package get misplaced, the Salvation Army can get it back to the correct family. We’ll also have a list of items online for those who’d rather use that method to choose purchases. Please add the family member’s name and # to each wrapped box. Gifts must be brought to the Wagner Room by an assigned date. (TBD)

If you’re unable, or don’t like to shop, our committee will use donated finances to purchase any untaken items on the list. Just put your money contribution in an envelope (marked Angel Tree) and place it in the plate, or send it to the Church Office. Our delivery will have a deadline date. With your help, we’ll be able to provide a needy family with a happy and merry Christmas.
