The Wyomissing Band Inc. is a community band formed in 1923 by two of the founders of Wyomissing, Ferdinand Thun and Henry Janssen. The Band has a rich history, from playing concerts in Wyomissing, to marching in the Fireman’s Parades with the Hampden Firemen. While we no longer march in parades, we continue the tradition of playing concerts in the Berks County Community. Our repertoire ranges from marches to broadway, TV theme shows to sacred, patriotic pieces, and others. The Band is currently under the direction of Jennifer Redcay.
